I’ve started my own pug blog too! although, I don’t actually have my pug yet haha. But I’m going to keep everyone updated on the progress…I’m getting Lucy halfway through May. The litter is only three weeks old today.

Hi everyone,

i am a proud mama of a black pug, for the past 3 months, she is wonderful and a joy to my heart, would not trade her for the world !!
some pointers for new pug owners learn about the history behind the breeder some continue to breed dogs with defects such as luxating patella, it is said that this is a heritable disease.

My pug now suffers with her right leg, grade 3 patella. which will require surgery amounting to $1200 – already spent $500 to xray all legs and physical, all other legs are great. (my little cookie) she’s being taken in next month, it takes approx 2-3 months for recovery, consider the emotional toll on both of you.
be sure to monitor what she puts in her mouth while craving your attention within the first month she began to vomit every morning a clear liquid which appreaed to be bile, i did some reading and saw this was normal, a before meal occurence etc, even took her to the vet and they said it may be the heat , no worry. (so i thought)
On my way out to work 3 days later she vomited jumed off the cough, ran about, had a seizure and collapsed. I rsuhed her to the hospital did an xray – she had a round metal object in her stomach that had to be removed, this being the reason behind her morning sickness, poor thing.
they wanted to go into her stomach and remove the object, i allowed them later called and told they were able to squeeze it through her intestines and rectum. i was relieved to know they did not need to cut her stomach. well what they found was actually a dime and penny stuck together as one which started to decay, the zinc was also very toxic to her.
She has healed and looking at her now you would not know she had surgery that came up to $1200, no biggie.
Pay close attention to your pug they are like babies clean their face , walk daily, aviod much jumping to preserve legs, and give lots of TLC, they will do anything for your attention if you do not have the time , money, or love to care for one please reconsider they do not deserve anything less than best because they simply are.

On September 10 we lost our little boy Pug Joey. He was the Love of our lives. Our other Pugs Kloey and Mika are struggling just as my wife and I are. I did not think that it would be this hard but I cry each day over him. I know there is someone out there that has had a similiar situation. Could you please help us with this. We had him cremated and we have his ashes with us but it is not the same of having him lay beside you each day and lay next to you each night when he would sleep. It is painful. I ask each day how could this happen to something so precious and so loving. I would love to hear from anyone who has been or is going through this.

Hi all! I was wondering if someone could help me with a pug problem. I just moved to Maui from Idaho and want to ship my pug over. I have completed all quarantine requirements for the sate of Hawaii, but I am scared to death to fly him here because of his snub nose. The main problem is, airlines will not let dogs fly in the cabin of a plane, even if I am with him, if the flight is to Hawaii. My pug, Walter, would have to sit in the cargo area. I am so nervous thhat he will suffocate or die of heat exhaustion. Does anyone have any suggestions or have a similar situation? I am deserate for help. I miss my dog, but am more concerned about his healt.

Unlike other pug bloggers, I am actually doing the blogging myself(check out “New Pug on the Blog”). I got tired of waiting for my parents to write about me so I took matters into paw (so to speak) and started my own blog. I will have wonderful photos and journal entries about my life, so check it out.
Respectfully submitted,
Mason the Pug

Bugsy is my “grandson” and only occasionally visits, so I don’t have a pug blog. He’s wonderful but loves to pester my 100-pound werewolf, Bear. Over the holidays, Peace on Earth came for me when Bugsy and Bear settled down for a nap together and I could get some writing done. For anyone interested, this quiet scene is on youtube:

I have a three year old Pug. He is the best little boy ever. He goes swimming in the pool and takes walks in the field. Oh, did I mention he loves to eat. We have to put his food on a cookie sheet so that he doesn’t eat too fast. He used to eat so fast he would back up and fall over.
