Pugs, Gates, and Cards

I’ve been building up the e-cards program, and I’ve added all the images i’ve posted on flickr that people have marked as “favorites” to the ready-made e-cards. From here on out, all the images posted from flickr are going to have a little “e-card” button you can click to send cards.

In ACTUAL pug news, i’ve gotten a wooden wire frame gate to keep the boys in a hallway while i’m out of the house. I really don’t like doing this, but they’re not neutered, and they’re not going to be neutered. SINCE they’re not, they mark everywhere — not when anyone is home, though, only when they’re alone. We think it has something to do with them getting mad at us, but who knows for sure.

At first, the marking wasn’t a problem, because it was just on the floors here, which are concrete. However, the marking eventually moved to the sofa, which is a “very bad thing.” Anyway, forced to take somewhat drastic measures, the boys now stay in the hallway while we’re out.

Now, the funniest thing is that the boys have figured out that if i don’t put the gate up low enough (because of the baseboard), they can shimmy underneath it. We didn’t figure this out until we actually saw them doing it. — Imagine a pug shimmying, belly to the floor, underneath a gate!

You’d think there were food on the other side.
